MollyMoorePhotography > AT WORK

Today will be last entry for the month of July. Since I've started my daily photo project, I've gone back and forth between using photos that I actually took the day of and those I had taken in the past - Those were days that I just didn't take the time to shoot or didn't get any good shots on a particular day. All of that to say - I am hoping to make August more of a true photo-a-day. We'll see how it goes. Seems to be a bit more pressure this way, but it's a challenge that I'm giving myself.

PASSION FLOWER

I had a little horticulture lesson with this one.
This is evidently a passion flower. It literally opened as I was standing there.
Another interesting tidbit - the passion flower lasts only one day.

"Each flower is a soul opening out to nature."
~ Gerald De Nerval
MollyMoorePhotography > GOD IN THE GARDEN

This is a butterfly garden at our church. I was there taking pictures for an event and this caught my eye.

"Show me your garden and I shall tell you what you are."
~ALFRED AUSTIN
MollyMoorePhotography > TUBING

He was having a blast getting pulled behind the boat on that tube. He wanted the boat to go faster, and he wanted to stay out there all day.

“Adventure is worthwhile in itself.”
~Amelia Earhart
MollyMoorePhotography > NESTEA PLUNGE

Jumping backward off the dock, doing the opposite of a belly flop. She did it over and over again... had a blast! Her brother was doing back flips, but this was her version.

"Children make you want to start life over."
 ~Muhammad Ali
MollyMoorePhotography > This is the same dog as in yesterday's entry.
She loves the water!

"ON THE BOAT WITH MY DOG"

"I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive."
~Gilda Radner
MollyMoorePhotography > LOOKS LIKE RAIN

A sort of man made waterfall.

"If there is magic on the planet, it is contained in the water."
~ Loren Eisley
MollyMoorePhotography > EDGE OF THE LAKE

The colors were a little dull so I chose the sepia effect.

“Perhaps the truth depends on a walk around the lake.”
~ Wallace Stevens
MollyMoorePhotography > Saturday, July 21

Had some friends over. Lots of kids running around the yard, but she stopped just long enough for me to snap a quick shot.

“Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them.”

MollyMoorePhotography > ANOTHER CAMP PICTURE

There's nothing like a great summer camp experience!

SPIDER

I wish that I could have gotten more of the web in focus! I just couldn't get a good angle.

“The means to gain happiness is to throw out from oneself like a spider in all directions an adhesive web of love, and to catch in it all that comes”
~ Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy

BASEBALL FROM THE ROOF

When the roofers climbed up their ladders to begin work on our roof this morning, they found scores of baseballs in the gutters. I saw this one in the contractor's dumpster amongst all the old shingles.

“I think about baseball when I wake up in the morning. I think about it all day and I dream about it at night. The only time I don't think about it is when I'm playing it.”
